LOTRO Lottery Known Issues A word about Lottery Support Lotteries are considered BETA and are not supported by in game GMs, Tech Support, or Customer Service. Do not contact them as they will be unable to assist you with any lottery related issues. Items lost, misdirected or sent to ineligible characters cannot be replaced, restored, or moved to other characters. None of my characters are displayed If the lottery widget/page and your character list widget show no characters, you may need to switch to a secondary subscription. At the top of the page, look to the right of the "Logged in as "; if you see a drop-down arrow there, mouse over it and select the other subscription listed. This will switch you to that subscription and should have your characters listed and allow them to enter any running lotteries they are eligible for. More info. Some characters aren’t showing up or are showing up with the wrong level. The lottery system relies on the LOTRO Live data pull for information on which characters are eligible for lotteries and to award lottery winnings. If you are having issues with your character not displaying or displaying incorrect information, this is likely to result in characters having issues entering the lotteries. In some cases, they may be totally unable to enter lotteries. Transferred Characters This is a known issue in the my.lotro.com system where transferred characters continue to report their previous shard name. If you enter one of these characters into a lottery, you will not receive your winnings. Deleted Characters This is a known issue in the my.lotro.com system where deleted characters may continue to appear in the lottery entry page. If you enter one of these characters into a lottery, you will not receive your winnings. Archived Characters Characters that have not been logged into the game recently will not appear on your selection screen. These characters cannot enter the lotteries, if you would like to insure that all of your characters are eligible, please log them all in on a regular basis. In some cases Characters will display in your list, but will generate an error when you attempt to enter them into a lottery because they have been Archived. Simply log all your characters in before trying to enter them into the lottery. This will resolve the issue. "More Widgets" Option not displaying Some browsers (IE 9 Betas for example) do not correctly display the "more widgets" option. If you are using IE8, turning compatibility mode off should resolve the issue. Users of IE6 should know that browser is not supported. If you still cannot see the option or are unable to add the widget you can navigate directly to the lottery page using the following URL: http://my.lotro.com/home/lottery. Please note, you will still need to be logged in to use this page. I won a lottery in the future? Lotteries that are set to repeat my occasionally cause the lottery system to lose track of time. This may result in previously won lotteries updating their times after you have won them. This may appear as if you have won an additional lottery or that you have somehow won a lottery from the future! Sadly, both are wrong and you did not win any additional prizes. Please keep this in mind when checking on your winnings! Example: You win the Festive presents lottery on Monday at 2PM. It starts again on Tuesday at 3:45PM. Once the system sets up this lottery, your winning lottery from Monday will update to show you have 'won' the lottery that doesn't end for another 24 hours. Likewise, it will show you as having won that lottery, and the next one, and the next one, as long as the Festive Present lottery is repeating. In reality you have won it once and will not get mail or prizes for the inaccurate time stamps. You didn't actually win those. Sorry.
